AFA-Talk about F-35 progress

So if F-35 flying is one of the topics at the Air Force Association meeting, I guess they will have a lot to talk about. Like, where are all the first flights that have slipped for 2009?

Sep 2008 status brief by the then F-35 P.O. boss General Davis. The following marked as “milestones”.

For 2009-

AF-1 First Flight May
AF-2 First Flight August
AF-3 First Flight June

BF-3 First Flight May
BF-4 First Flight March
BF-5 First Flight December

CF-1 First Flight October
CF-2 First Flight December
CF-3 First Flight November

Put “ish” on the months because the graphic isn’t super exact. If the Air Force Association wants to discuss the F-35, discuss the red circles.

  1. I doubt that gonne happen. From 46 test flights in fy 2009 to over 1728 in fy 2010 to catchup.
They be lucky if they reach 500 as things are going.
I mean serious we talking from like 4 a month to over a 100.
If there were not any problems the planes would already be flying daily. Fact that they are not points to serious problems. Not some minor bump on the road.
