The root cause….the real problem is; that we don’t have enough air power leadership. Today; Gates, Schwartz and Donley ain’t it. Far from it.

As I stated over at DoD Buzz, its a sad state of affairs that we are sending pilots out in aircraft that are over 40+ years old, and a 20% in depot time should be expected at this point.
This is just another symptom of the complete absence of strategy and planning exhibited by Gates and his leadership, and the resulting mismanagement of USAF and ANG.
BTW Eric, I loved the comment on drones with snowmobile engines!
